Liqueurs have an ancestral origin and given their therapeutic properties (analgesic, digestive and coughing…), dedication to its study was a requirement of early civilization.
Liqueurs are integral part of our cultural heritage, products that are beyond the development of techniques for extraction and concentration of aromas, to reach levels of unimaginable"know-how", which liqueurs Botica are a living proof.
We have brought together innovation and traditional forms of manufacturing and from the ancient knowledge, we chose five typical elements of Alto Alentejo with which we have created 7 delicious flavors. Unique!
Pennyroyal; Roasted Chestnut; Quince Jam; “Bravo Esmolfe” Apple; “Ginginha” from “Marvão”; Tangerine Pinion; Red Currant.
Pennyroyal is an herb with distinct aroma and flavour, easily identifiable by the freshness that give us. After capturing its essence we have created a very light, aromatic liqueur, perfect to enjoy after meals, for its digestive properties.
Ingredients: brandy, sugar and pennyroyal (from biological agriculture).
Roasted Chestnut Liqueur
"Clarinha", is a variety of Portuguese chestnuts from Highlands of Alentejo (PDO, Marvão), characterized by being tiny and very sweet, it is the host of this liquor, merged with the "sprinkles" of smoke from its baking embers.
Nostalgic as autumn can be, this liquor takes us back up to our roots and that's the way it should be discovered, as if the world won´t ended tomorrow.
Ingredients: brandy, sugar, roasted Chestnut (“Clarinhas” variety).
Quince Jam Liqueur
The light warm sunshine colour of quince peel, strongly perfumed flesh and bittersweet, is in this liqueur that also captures the brilliance of a sweet evening.
Ingredients: brandy, sugar, quince and cinnamon.
“Bravo Esmolfe” Apple Liqueur
Made from small and autumnal apple Bravo Esmolfe, with soft pulp and intense scent, this liqueur reveals itself with a velvety texture and delicate flavour. Associated with the best essence, a brandy of great nobility, thus emerges a full-bodied liqueur, begging to be tasted.
Ingredients: brandy, sugar and apple (Bravo de Esmolfe variety).
“Ginginha de Marvão” Liqueur
Ginginha, may be the most popular liquor between the Portuguese, was the target of our greater attention. To ensure its uniqueness, we choose sour cherries from the mountains of Natural Park of São Mamede which have particular microclimate that bless the flavour of its fruits.
The picturesque village of Marvão provide us a family recipe improved by many generations. Thus arises an Cordial Liqueur, full-bodied and very fruity that lies dormant in a Premium red black pearls brandy.
Ingredients: brandy, sugar, sour cherries, red wine and cinnamon.
Red Currant Liqueur
A liqueur full of charm by ruby color and the presence of small currant berries impossible of being forgotten in the bottom of glass. Fresh, very fruity and sparingly sweet, is also very pleasant if served in equal part with sparkling water.
Tangerine Pinion Liqueur
Fresh tangerine flavor contrasts with the pinion warm notes at different times. Perfect for Christmas, by their color and the combination of a citrus with a dry fruit, is also refreshing in hot weather, preferably served in a tall glass plenty of ice.
